Kima Otung is an award-winning Welsh-Nigerian Pop/R&B artist, song-writer, producer and entrepreneur who’s on a mission to stir self-belief in listeners around the globe with her fusion of classically inspired anthems. Her music has travelled far beyond borders, going viral online and soundtracking dance moments as far as the Great Wall of China; a testament to the universal joy and confidence woven through her sound.
A magnetic performer, Kima has represented UK music on international stages including the FIFA World Cup as a “Best of British” artist, performed on TV, headlined Budweiser’s BRIT Awards showcase, performed at BAFTA, and been invited to 10 Downing Street in recognition of her contribution to UK Arts and Culture. Her songs have featured across mainstream TV and global brands including hit show Love Island (ITV), Netflix, MTV, Amazon Prime, BBC, Channel 4, Budweiser and Zumba, with BBC Radio 1Xtra spotlighting her as a leading voice shaping the future of the industry.
Kima produces most of her own music. Her musical journey, which began at the Welsh National Youth Opera at age 14, has matured into a multi-instrumental talent with a sound enriched by classical and gospel influences.

Beyond the studio, she’s reshaping the business itself. She is the co-founder of Insidr Music, a direct-to-fan subscription platform helping artists monetise unreleased music and earn significantly more than traditional streaming. Drawing on her background as a former corporate lawyer, she founded Insidr to empower artists to build financially sustainable careers, as evidenced by an artist on Insidr who recently generated over £15,000 in revenue by launching their own Insidr page to their fans.
